DESCRIPTION: This appears to be some sort of a panel to me. This photo was taken on the Congresswoman's tour of the Pentagon damage. That black handle looking piece right in the front is distinctive, but I haven't been able to identify it. One thing that's odd is that the piece was left out almost as if for display. We already know that other pieces were whisked away in the first minutes after impact and taken to the car park or the north parking lot FBI area.

DESCRIPTION: This is the location of the piece in the scheme of things. Compare pictures and match the tents etc. They have put the orange fence around it since the last photo. That means it was left out for at least three days now.

DESCRIPTION: My best guess is that this might be the piece. It is in the general area where it was cordoned off until at least the 14th. Also if you go back and follow the debris flying out in the DoD video frames, you can see a piece flying in that general direction.

I have speculated that it is one of the APU doors from the tail of the aircraft. If you look at the enlargement above it has a few similar elements. Also note that the part is wider in the back of the enlarged photo even though it is further away and foreshortened. If you look on the right side of the enlargement you can see black soot that is reminiscent of exhaust from an APU. It has the green paint and the ridges are spaced about the same. If anyone gets a closer look at one of these doors and can associate the cables or the black handle like piece, let me know.
